The South East Asian qualifiers for the third season of SL i-League StarSeries ended today with TnC claiming the one spot available in their region for the LAN finals.
Recently crowned Champions of WESG 2016, TnC displayed great form once more by topping the SEA qualifiers group for SL i-League #3. A total of eight teams fought for the one qualifier spot, including the likes of Execration, Fnatic, Faceless and WG Unity. From all the favorites, only Faceless was close to contest TnC’s first place. The Singaporean based team finished on the second position with only one points behind the Filipino squad and, therefore, will miss this season of SL i-League Starseries. The Malaysians from Fnatic are still in deep struggles. With an incomplete roster, they finished bottom two with only one victory and one draw, which was worth a total of four points.
StarLadder i-League Starseries season 3 LAN finals will take place next month, February 23-26 , in China, at the Shanghai International Gymnastics Center. A total of eight teams – two directly invited and six qualified - will be fighting for a share of the $300,000 prize pool.
