First round of the Boston Major SEA open qualifiers concluded with the Malaysian team WG Unity claiming their spot into the regional qualifiers.

WarriorsGaming.Unity missed the Fall Shuffle deadline, therefore they were forced to play open qualifiers for the Boston Major.  On their way to the grand finals, WG Unity defeated Rave and took a convincing victory over Fire Dragoon E-Sports in the grand finals to secure their spot in the regional qualifiers.

Two fast pace drafts, with a Drow Ranger-Sniper combo in game one and an out of control Invoker mid lane for  Kam 'NaNa' Boon Seng in game two, made the grand finals a very one sided affair for WG Unity who finished both matches around the 20 minute mark.

Nonetheless, Fire Dragoon E-Sports had an amazing run through the bracket, taking down the likes of First Departure and Mineski-X to reach the grand finals. For all the teams that didn’t make it in the first round of the open qualifiers, tomorrow, October 25 the second wave of SEA open qualifiers will commence with 1024 slots available for teams to sign up.

For those interested to participate at the SEA Open Qualifiers #2, sign ups can be done here. The winner of SEA open qualifiers #2 will join WarriorsGaming.Unity and the seven invited squads for the regional qualifiers.
