As the pre-early bird ticket phase begins today, Team Fnatic are the first team to confirm their invite to ESL One Genting

Team Fnatic confirmed their invite to home tournament ESL One Genting today. The new Fnatic roster individually proved themselves in this year's International, where Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung and Chong 'Ohaiyo' Khoo played with the previous iteration of Fnatic to secure fourth place for themselves, while Marc Polo 'Raven' Luis Fausto, Nico 'eyyou' Barcelon, and Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho were part of TNC Pro Team, which managed to knock out two-time major winners OG from the tournament and secure a top-eight finish. Yet, since their formation as a team, they have not been a part of any international LAN together, where they could prove themselves against prominent teams from all over the world. They were not directly invited to Mars Dota League, which was the first and the only international LAN after TI. The only tournament they've played together is the MPGL Southeast Asian Championship, where they were unable to defend their title of being the best South-east Asian team. Having once considered to be the strongest team in the SeA region, Fnatic were dropped to the lower bracket by Team Execration, which featured former Fnatic player Djardel 'Dj' Mampusti, and were eliminated by MVP Phoenix shortly afterwards.

With ESL having proved themselves in South-east Asia with last year's ESL One Manila, which was a huge success, ESL One Genting is expected to be of the same suite. While it is taking place in Genting from the 6th-8th January of 2017, it seems that the hype has already started to build up. Today, the pre-early bird ticketing opened, and it saw numbers so overwhelmingly huge that they were able to crash the ESL servers. The Asians certainly love their Dota, and one can only hope that the crowd of ESL One Genting is similar to the crowd of ESL One Manila, which was considered by many personalities as the best crowd they had ever seen. You can get your ticket to ESL One Genting at their website.
