After an intense match and what almost became the first third game series of The Summit so far, Evil Geniuses redeems after their harsh loss yesterday. Rave is the first team to get eliminated.
Evil Geniuses will go up against Cloud9 later tonight, winner of that will advance to the four team double elimination bracket. The two teams faced up yesterday in which Evil Geniuses took quite a beating and Cloud9 came out on top.

Game 1
Rave went for an Io-Tiny combo while EG picked Lion+Lina as nuking support duo along side big ultimate heroes with Void and Magnus. Furthermore, EG did a very interesting and risky last pick in the Clinkz, played by Fear. Game 1 started with offlane Night Stalker going boots and Mango first and Rave securing both bounty runes for themselves. First blood went to Universe's Void with the help of a hex from Lion and a perfect two man Lina stun. Clinkz on the other side had a really good laning phase against the Night Stalker which allowed EG's support to give more attention on their mid and offlane heroes.
However, mid lane was dominated by Tiny with the help of io. Sumail had few chances to kill the Io, but Io was just too swift for Magnus as he managed to escape multiple times and even kill the EG courier in the process. It was only one second, as the night fell, where Night stalker when for his first kill of the game on Lion. A good start for the night monster.
A minute later, a TP from Io secured a kill on Lina with the help of the Viper and forcing Void to timewalk and teleport to base. The moment Void hit the jungle, Viper started to receive uncontested farm and was already having the second highest net worth, only having less than Tiny. A perfect start for Rave but everything went the opposite way when a huge team fight broke out in bottom lane and Rave lost four heroes, killing none in return. That totally changed the leaders of net worth to Magnus and Clinkz.
Instead of blink dagger or Aghanims, Tiny rushed for his drums which might been a poor choice of item in this game. Another team fight went wrong for rave as void got a one man Chrono on Viper, killing him in it with the help of Fear positioned just outside the chrono. Io did a really fast Relocate and got Tiny back into safely.
Nukes from Lina and Lion proved to be too much for Rave. A two for one trade favouring Rave then happened as Sumail missed his RP and a death ward-Tiny combo just melted Rave's supports. Rave did not have enough vision on the map and Clinkz constantly scouted around Rave's jungle, making it hard for a proper Io-Tiny relocate combo.
Four players went down for Rave at minute 21 as a blink-RP from Sumail and two man chrono by void and Night Stalker ended up being the sole survivor for Rave after the team fight. Multiple Skewers into Lina's stun helped EG get multiple chain lock downs, making most of the team fights favouring EG. Later after that a five man wipe in mid lane with Fear getting an ultra kill on his clinkz showed how powerful his right click damage was.
It was a 28 mins GG after Void managed to chrono the Tiny yet again, followed by Laguna and Finger of death to bring him down. A good game from Rave but a better drafting from EG secured the win for them.
Game 2
Rave went yet again for Io-Tiny mid, this time against Universe's Beastmaster as Sumail went out of his comfort zone playing in the offlane this time around. Chrissy again went for a courier snipe this game and a great TP from him brought down Venge and Leshrac as Barathrum and Io each got a kill. Io was playing the game of his life as he helped Rave to get multiple kills around the map even without Relocate.
Two minutes later, the whole EG squad was forced to TP top which in the end paid off as Rave lost three and EG lost none. The first relocate of the game brought down Undying as he walked a little too far from his tower in the top lane. Instead of drums, Tiny rushed for his blink first this time which proved it's effiency as he started getting kill after kill with a quick blinks and a his normal combo. However, a smoke gank finally brought down the domination of Tiny. As he respawned thought, he quickly teleported in for a gank and a phenomenal three man charge by ryOyr cleared out four EG heroes in the blink of an eye.
A team fight broke off at the top lane as EG went for their last smoke giving Fear an ultra kill and allowing him to farm his precious Bloodstone. EG got back their momentum as they start pushing. A huge swap from PPD saved Sumail's life, gave EG two kills and also a free Roshan. However, the moment EG tried to push high ground, Ninjaboogies's Tiny got an ultra kill followed and EG lost all their heroes, despite the Aegis. Three minutes later, Rave were on fire as they got another full team wipe where Razor finally conducted some painful business as he started to become more and more powerful in the team fights.
EG just could not go high ground as they kept losing their heroes the moment they enter the base. Rave were finally pushing to end the game and went high ground. However they were denied by EG as they lost their Tiny and Razor lost his Aegis. A minute after that, a totally turn around occured in the final teamfight which causeed Rave to lose three heroes and a lane of barracks. An attempt to kill the Leshrac by three of Rave's heroes went wrong as Fear survived the gank, pushed bottom tower and went straight for the throne.
Io relocated tiny to EG's base and it was an intense base race with both teams using their glyph and it was just too much for Rave as EG secured the win with Radiant's throne going down. A really good game from Rave proving that they are indeed a team to be feared, however some questionable late game decision making by them and a very smart gameplay and item purchases from EG that gave the American squad the victory.
