The reigning StarLadder champions Evil Geniuses have pulled out of the ongoing season. Citing travel fatigues from the past tournaments as an issue, the North-Americans will now be replaced by fellow Americans Wheel Wreck While Whistling.

StarLadder Season XI has just resumed its operation and has already taken a hit. Evil Geniuses, the title defender, has pulled out of the ongoing season.

Statement by Evil Geniuses:

"Hey guys, unforunately I have some bad news as Evil Geniuses Dota 2 will be withdrawing from Starladder Season 11. With 2014 coming to a close, we've been exhausted from travel as a team. In the last 6 months I think we've been sleeping in hotel beds longer than we have been in our own. And this, along with the fact that we haven't played any games yet in the season, are the sole reasons we're pulling out of Starladder. We will still play out the remaining tournaments that we're in, including DotaPit and D2L and afterwards, we plan on spacing out our LAN commitments.

I want to thank Andrey (x3m4eg) who has been nothing but helpful, understanding and professional during every single Starladder we've attended and competed at. We look forward to being in season 12 again."

The North-Americans will be replaced by Wheel Wreck While Whistling, another North-American squad. Since EG has not played out any games in the ongoing season, Wheel will be able to take their spot without any compromises. Looking at the North-American division, the top dog is currently Sneaky Nyx Assassins with a 5-1 record.
