compLexity upsets EG in DotaPit Season 2

The Dota Pit Season 2 league has been going strong for 2 weeks now and there have been some interesting developments. With less then half the games have been played there is still a lot of wiggle room in the group stage, but certain teams like Evil Geniuses, Virtus.Pro and compLexity are already pulling ahead.

Two weeks and 92 games in and the Dota Pit League Season 2 is running strong. So far the tournament has been relatively drama free, barring one incident involving Alliance and Fnatic, and has been running smoothly as the teams progress.

First off, Alliance was originally slated to be a part of the tournament. But gave up their spot to 4 Anchors before any matches were played. This wasn't entirely unusual by itself as teams sometimes have conflicting schedules and sometimes must make tough calls. But this was followed up by Fnatic who dropped out due to no longer having a team. Their replacement has ended up being Alliance, who will be taking up Fnatics score of 2-2 and will play the rest of the games in the tournament in their stead.

GROUP A:
Matches Played:
56/84

This division has so far had the most games played, and currently has one of the biggest divides. At the top are Evil GeniusesVirtus.Pro and compLexity Gaming all with 7 wins in Group A. While all the teams in this group still have many games ahead of them, these three teams have set themselves far above the rest in score.

At the bottom however are Power Rangers and Moscow Five who both have been having a rough time. Within their bracket they have virtually no chance of regaining a foothold and getting one of the four positions that will progress them onwords.

One of the biggest upsets of this group so far though, is the Evil Geniuses vs. compLexity Gaming match. This ended with a 0-2 loss for EG who were assumed to have been able to win the game with little contest.

GROUP B:
Matches Played:
36/84

Group B on the other hand is a bit more diverse in scores compared to Group A. No team has yet truly broken above the rest of the pack, even though Team Empire is leading the charge with a 5-3 record, nothing is close to being decided as Denial is sitting right behind them with a 4-2 record. On the other end of the spectrum, SNA and HellRaisers are both sitting at 1-5 games and will have to start winning soon if they wish to advance. Many games remain as Cloud9 for example has yet to play any of their 14 games.
