The D2L tournament is back again with its 5th Season, with this year's tournament boasting 16 teams from around the globe and the return of the bubble race playoff system.
D2L is back and better then ever, entering its 5th season this year. As Season 4 was one of D2L's most successful they will be keeping the format relatively untouched moving into Season 5.
Essential Information:
- 16 Teams from around the world, split into a Western Division and an Eastern Division.
- Games will be played in a round-robin, best of three format from start to finish.
- Return of the Bubble Race Playoff system. Which can best be described by the following:
- Admission to the LAN Finals at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada will be free. Takes place January 5th and 6th.
- $50,000 base prize pool and $50,000 travel budget for teams. The prize pool will be expanded by 25% of the ticket sales.
- Only four teams will be qualifiying for the LAN Finals.
Na'Vi, TongFu OldBoys and Vici Gaming all declined invitations to the D2L. The reasoning for this range from scheduling conflicts to issues with ACE management.
