After Tongfu's loss to LGD.cn earlier today, leaving the team eliminated in 5th-6th place, Chen 'Zhou' Yao wrote on his Weibo that he is contemplating on retirement if he could not get out of the slump he is currently in.
In the post, he explained that he was in bad form and he only realized it in the match against LGD.cn. This is rather odd considering Tongfu had a splendid showing in the pre-playoffs of G-League in which they defeated Vici Gaming in straight games and Speed Gaming in the decider. However, Tongfu was quick to be stopped by DK in the playoffs of the tournament.
"If I cannot adjust (to the current meta), I will just retire," Yao wrote.
We were also told by our source who works closely with the teams that an upcoming Chinese shuffle will be happening after Chinese New Year.
