Na`Vi get revenge in TechLabs Cup Finals

Fighting their way back through the lower bracket as they seem to do so often of late, Na`Vi made their way into the Grand Finals and with a bit of luck and help from their opponents they managed to take the series 2-1 over Team Empire, who put in a valiant performance with their new solo mid Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok.

Power Rangers started out the second day of the competition strong with a 2-1 win over Virtus.Pro in what could best be described as a team effort through and through. They took their own brand of Dota into their first game against Na`Vi as well, carving out a huge lead with Bristleback and Queen of Pain before struggling a bit to end the first of the series, although eventually going up 1-0 against the three time International finalists. However the Cinderella story came to an end soon after, with Na`Vi stepping it up in the second game and absolutely demolishing Power Rangers in the third game, in order to make their way back into the Grand Finals, where they got a chance for revenge after their harsh 0-2 loss the day before.

The Finals

The first game of the series would turn out to be by far the closest of the lot, with Na`Vi taking a slight lead before Empire turned it around and with the power of Bounty Hunter and an amazingly farming Anti-Mage controlled the game through the early and mid game stages. However, Na`Vi kept on fighting, occasionally finding a good engagement or at least enough to extend the game bit by bit. In the end it was the lopsided farm distribution on Empire that did them in, along with a supreme Diffusal Blade pick-up by Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov on the Venomancer, using it to Purge Scythe of Vyse time and again in fights and allowing Na`Vi to outplay Empire in the lategame, netting them the first win of the finals series.

For the second match Na`Vi picked into a slightly more experimental lineup which needed them to win the early game, which they failed to achieve. Instead Empire again snowballed on the back of their Bounty Hunter pick leading to a swift end for Na`Vi, as their Pugna and Night Stalker had no items in order to fight the super fat Bristleback, who became nearly unkillable and then capped it off with picking up a Radiance for good measure. Empire ties the series, 1-1.

In the final game Na`Vi banned out the Bounty Hunter, having noticed just how highly Empire valued the hero and how instrumental it was in their play. As Na`Vi also managed to perform better during the early laning stages, in particular in terms of finding and spreading out experience among their heroes, Empire was put onto the back foot early on. With Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich on the Gyrocopter getting out of hand and the rest of his team backing him up with brilliant performances Na`Vi applied steady pressure without ever quite letting Empire back into the game, resulting in a clear victory for Na`Vi in the deciding game, crowning them the champions of TechLabs Cup!
