D2CL #3 resumes tonight with Alliance vs. Fnatic

DreamLeague champions Alliance will be pit up against Fnatic in tonight's showdown for Dota 2 Champions League #3. The winner will set-up a grand final clash with Team Empire whilst the loser will play for the third spot.

Dota 2 Champions League season 3 is close to its end, as the second finalist will be determined tonight in an intense best-of-five series. Alliance will be looking forward to expand on their new found synergy after winning DreamLeague against Cloud9 in an intense best-of-five matchup.

The Swedes will be up against Fnatic in the second semi-final match scheduled to begin tonight at 17.00 CEST. Fnatic, on the other hand, have been fairly inconsistent as evident by their performances in the recently concluded The Summit and DreamLeague.

Fnatic's inconsistency can be attributed with the ruling out of their carry player Era, who was sidelined due to an injury for the Summer. They attended both the events with sixteen year old Steve 'Excalibur' Ye from Sweden as a stand-in. Fnatic couldn't fully utilize their line-up due to less synergy with Excalibur, although, they did manage to shine several times especially with Excalibur's Tinker.

Whilst Alliance might look menacing coming off fresh from victory in DreamLeague, it is yet unknown as to who will play for Fnatic tonight between Era and Excalibur. The winner will face Team Empire in the grand finals whilst the loser will play for third place against Power Rangers.
