Why EG vs Na'Vi Matters

Why EG vs Na'Vi matters

Two familiar faces are fighting for a spot in the Grand Finals of The Defense. Evil Geniuses and Na'Vi are no strangers to each other, often meeting the other late in tournaments. This match is very important for the competitive scene, not only because the winner will earn a spot on the Grand Finals, but because of the history and the rivalry between the players themselves.

To Push or Farm: a Strategy Analysis

Early Pushing versus Farming an Antimage

Welcome to another Dota strategic analysis article. This month, in light of current trends, we will be discussing the differences between pushing-oriented strategies and carry-oriented strategies. Throughout this analysis we will define pushing/ganking and carry strategies, examine the pros and cons of each respective strategy and look at the metagame of each. Hopefully, we will provoke discussion in the comments as well.

One important thing to note before we begin is that all strategies are, to one extent or another, pushing strategies, since the game can only be won by pushing. Our main concerns will be examining pushing lineups that peak in the early and mid game and comparing the optimal strategies for an early game lineup with those for a late game team.

Getting better in DotA #1

Today I'll do something different. Normally you would see me posting a replay analysis. Now, I'm doing something I never did before: interviewing players. Not only I'll interview the players, but will also share some thoughts as someone who is following them for quite a while. In this first one, I interviewed mTw.Matrim and discussed a bit on how to deliberately get better at DotA.
