Do you remember the first time you played StarCraft? It certainly has been a while hasn't it? Here's my bit of 'Newb Nostalgia' for everyone.
When I first played StarCraft, it wasn't really StarCraft. It was Age of Empires in space. I remember doing a PvZ on (2)Challenger. After a good long time of all four of my probes working hard, I found joy in the form of my first aerial unit, the Scout. Needless to say, as he proudly and confidently approached the Swarm, he was cruelly shot out of the air by kamikaze scourges. From that day onward I swore an oath of destruction towards the dreadful Zerg forces.
Once I got to the hard levels of the campaigns, I gave up on it. Years later, I picked it up again and started playing. After beating some campaign levels, I was on top of the world. But imagine my surprise when I logged onto Battle.net for the first time and the first words I hear from my allie are "you built assim too fast..."The word 'newb' was the one to correctly classify me. But everyone was a newb at one time. In honor of that first game on Battle.net, we have our new picture of the week.
