Bnet ladder reset!

[subject_battlenet]Thursday October 9 2003, the Battle.net team announced an action which millions of Starcraft Gamers will happily welcome. Every account that has been involved in any type of ladder abusing has been reset. This means that almost the whole ladder top list has been reset aswell, since it contained mostly abusers. The Battle.net team does as well tell us that they will continue to clean up abusers and that the Starcraft community is important to them. This is to be read at the Battle.net homepage:"Accounts found to be involved with abusing the StarCraft ladder system have had their records reset. Below is a list actions that are considered ladder abuse, based on what we found when reviewing accounts. For more information about the ladder system, please check the Ladder F.A.Q. It is considered an abuse of the ladder system to:

Play more than 2 illegitimate games against any person within 4 days. Examples would be playing for 5 minutes and then surrendering, one player not building anything, repeatedly surrendering when there is no need, and so on.
Winning/losing more than 3 legitimate games to the same person within 2 weeks. This way, you can still have a "best two out of three" match against someone, but any more than 3 games against the same person within 2 weeks will be considered abuse.
Intentionally disconnecting from a game for the purpose of avoiding a loss.
Playing ladder games in a way that undermines the spirit of competitive play.

We have implemented a more robust abuse-detection system, and we will reset and close abusive accounts on a regular basis. Repeat offenders run the risk of having their CD-keys disabled, preventing play on Battle.net altogether. If you wish to report ladder abuse, please follow these instructions.

Maintaining the StarCraft ladder is very important to us, and we value the feedback we receive from the Battle.net community. Your continued support has helped us to keep Battle.net a safe and entertaining place for playing Blizzard games. "
Even though the Battle.net ladder isn't the best and the one most played, this is a truly great announcement. This, plus the previous resetting of 287,000 Starcraft accounts, shows that the Battle.net team has finally taken things in their own hands and started caring about Starcraft. What we are hoping for next is a patch update, if things continue this way. Only time will tell what Blizzard and Battle.net will do next, but be sure that we are ready to report it!
