From the first blood on level one until the end of the match-up, Curse rolled over Marn in decisive, uncontested and frankly rude manner. Whatever hopes for an even match Marn were deleted after Voyboy’s Renekton secured a triple kill during a teleport gank and was a complete train-wreck for Megazero and co from that point on. At no point during the match did it feel that MRN can make some sort of comeback and the game ended with a 20-3 scoreboard.

Another one-sided game came knocking as CLG played the roster-changed Dignitas. Although it was Crumbzz missing from the line-up – subbed by DJ Lambo – it was the Qtiepie/Patoy duo that made the first mistakes. A couple of Flash/Crescendo engagements by Aphromoo combined with timely ganks by Chauster put the score to 3-0 and it was a perfect snowball from CLG from that point. True to their style, HotShot’s crew slowly methodically split-pushed, took all objectives and wiped Dignitas absent resistance.

Not until the third game of the night was the audience treated to some sort of a thrill. Somewhat surprisingly, Complexity’s poke composition with Jayce and AP Janna took control over the match and Curse found themselves in defensive position.

As the game entered the later stages, however, the inexperience of Complexity started to show. Despite relying on long-range sieges, coL were caught out of position a bit too often and were aced several times, the last one ending with a pentakill for Cop’s Twitch. With the moment to close the game long gone, Complexity stared into defeat unbelieving.

In a battle in the lower half of the table, GGU met Marn to close the spring circuit matches for the night. A level one first blood for Marn snowballed into a terrifying MegaZero on Riven and by the mid-game he was on 4/0/1 with Cleaver and BF Sword, posing a clear and present danger to the whole of GGU.

Marn were quick on throwing their advantage down the drain however as they decided to have an attempt at Baron they could not possibly win. As GGU closed on them and with not space to disengage, Marn took a heavy beating and GGU edged back into the game. Another ace just a couple of minutes later completely sealed the faith of Marn and GGU took a comeback victory home.
