Since 2002 GGL has organized an event called "Players of the year", and this year is no exception. Gaming media from across the globe will vote for two categories in Warcraft 3.
"Players of the year" is a recurring event at GGL. This year, invited gaming media will vote in two categories concerning Warcraft 3; "Warcraft 3 Player of 2006" and "Warcraft 3 Revelation of 2006". Amongst the invited media we can find sites such as GosuGamers, WCReplays, GIGA and Readmore.
According to GGL, these are the guidelines for both of the categories: "The Player of 2006 will be picked for his successful and most consistent performances throughout the past twelve months, and the title of the Revelation of 2006 will be awarded to the player who has made the biggest breakthrough."
Five players have been nominated in each category and the winner will be announced during the third week of January by djWHEAT on an iTG show.
