In two short weeks, the best of the best American WoW arena teams and Warcraft 3 players will go head to head in the North American Regional Finals. They will be fighting for a spot in the Global Invitational Championships to be held at BlizzCon 2010 in October at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.
The Regional Finals are a free event hosted in the Texas Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Austin, located at 208 Barton Springs Road, Austin, TX 78704. If you are a native of Texas, or have the drive to take on the open road to the great state of Texas, head on over Saturday August 21st and Sunday August 22nd between 10am and 8pm CST, 5am and 3pm CET.
In addition to watching world-class professional gamers compete in live matches, attendees will also be able to have some hands-on fun in the free-play gaming area. Visitors will get to play StarCraft II, the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm beta test, and the Diablo III demo seen at BlizzCon 2009.
The WoW Arena Tournament style will have eight, 3v3 teams competing in a best out of five matches format, in a double elimination bracket. While the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne has eight single players competing in a best out of three double elimination competition.
Whether you are a PVP junky or you simply love all Blizzard games, this showcase is a treat that should not be missed.
