Maelk: As if Hood of Defiance and Black King Bar wasn't enough
In the first entry in Maelk's ('the arrogant prick') blog, he introduces you both to his tanning problems and what he thinks about the current patch of DotA.
- "The new version has been very amusing to play thus far", he says, "and I really enjoy the way DotA is going at the moment".
However, according to him, not everything is perfect for the moment, pointing out Khadgar's Pipe of Insight and the Area-of-effect spells being nullified.
- "Khadgar's Pipe of Insight is ridiculous and only cripples DotA" [...] "As if Hood of Defiance and Black King Bar wasn't enough"
- "Area of Effect spells simply loses their purpose. This makes fights very long, pushing very had and strength heroes incredibly strong."
Loda on HoN: The graphics are really neat
Something that is constantly up in the air is the newly released Heroes of Newerth beta that by some is mention to be the the DotA, while others try to make it pass by like a bad cold. Loda ('the self-claimed casanova') shared his thoughts on the game.
- "So it's about time I make a entry about HoN", you can read in Loda's blog, "since countless people are spamming me on mIRC about whether or not I like the beta of Heroes of Newerth."
- "The graphics are really neat, but I would say that sometimes the skills are too good looking to make the game easy to understand or play. For example whenever Tormented, torturer or w/e he is called is participating in big 5on5 fights I tend to miss a lot of what is happening"
- "Certain spells like the new tidehunter ulti, anti-mage blink and puppeteer spells are really cool aswell and I'm really looking forward to see more and more heroes added."
