WCG: Australia

[s]event_wcg[/s]The WCG Finals for the "land down under" have been completed. Our very own » Australia Freezer was at the event. The top 2 spots would be qualified for the WCG Finals in San Francisco. Unfortunately, the second place finisher would have to pay his own way.

The Aussies had a theatre room where people could watch he games live and comment them. Let me quote Freezer who put it nicely. The event was run very well. I have to say well done to Fish and iori the organisers who did a fantastic job. The big screen games were very fun aswell with audiances being able to watch live games being commentated in a theatre room.
Starhunter commentated the first game between Legionnaire and Razor. While Pandasaurus and myself broadcasted the 2nd tie breaker between Razor and oG)starrbren.

WCG AUSTRALIA

I have no clue who they are but by the way they have their hands on the keyboards it looks like they are Stacraft players plus they do not have silly microphones. Whoever the red head guy is, he looks thoroughly pissed off and is even playing without sound. As soon as Freezer is home we will have some photos and first-hand info about the event and the Australian starcraft community. At the end of this article I have left you with a link to more pictures of the event.

It was the end of the line for freezer, but congrats to him for making the finals! Now, on to the semi finals:

Legionnaire > Starhunter
Razor > Filthy

So we were set for the finals:

Razor < Legionnaire

Filthy also managed to finish 4th in Warcraft III, an excellent overall performence from the Aussie. Congratulations to Legionnaire and Razor, who will represent Australia. Both of these players have qualified for the WCG Finals before, so their experience will be a huge advantage.

The replays will be published at their WCG official site in a few days. They would not let anyone have them until then.
