Strategic Analysis: MYM's Offensive Turtle
The games are played in the Intel Challenge Supercup, Winner Bracket Semi Finals; a rather big tournament.
Taking a brief look at the two teams, a couple of name changes have been made on the Meet Your Makers [MYM] side:
MYM.Razer.KingJ=Maelk MYM.Razer.SMOKE=Playmate MYM.Razer.7895=MiSeRy MYM.Razer.AVA-=DeMoN
However, looking at the OK.Nirvana.International [OK.Nv], we can see an even more confusing list of names:
CTRLXANDCTRLV=lacoste UNiVeRsE=stand-in 1437=stand-in leCEWEME=stand-in
I have unfortunately no information on why Sony was not in this game, but as for Ducky, he was on a long vacation.

[row][col]Before beginning to write, I would like to say that I am aware of the fact that I have been writing a lot about MYM; I however feel that since KuroKy has personal experience with the guys as well as MYM being one of the few stable top teams following the European reshuffle, this was the only real team I could write about.
When looking at this particular strategy, I find it very interesting due to the fact that the MYM strategies usually revolve around the support players; this is understandable as the three main support players are the most experienced players on the team, and the constant string of information MaNia and Pusher feeds to the team works wonders. However, this strategy is different; it relies on the semi-carries, with the support as more of a by-stander; something I personally just love as I believe Misery and Demon have an intense interaction with each other.
Regarding this specific replay, I am aware of leCEWEME dropping at the thirty minute mark, but as this was the best utilization of the strategy I could find, I kept onto it anyway.
Do note that this is a strategic analysis. You will most likely be seeing the entire article written from the MYM perspective, meaning it will be highly subjective.
A last note before beginning the article. People might struggle to understand the combination of 'Offensive' and 'Turtle'. To understand this, you have to visualize the base as the standard 'turtling' operation. This is where the defending team is stronger than the attacking team as per definition. Now, imagine if you were able to move the base with the carry, this would give all the defensive capabilities to the carry, while allowing maximum farm. Naturally this is not possible, but the idea has been formed: we do not need the base, we just need enough defensive capabilities to defend against the opposing team. Through a review of the MYM supports, it is hoped that the reader will get a general understanding of the philosophy behind the strategy.</table>[/c]

[redquote1]I clearly expect MYM to take this. Not only does OK.Nv play with only two of its official members, but neither is their long-time veteran captain there to guide them through the game. Taking his place is the formidably Fear, but as he has only really gotten back into the scene now, I do not yet expect his skill level to be on par with his former status.
Regarding the strategies used, I would expect this game to be based on turtling with some innovative manoeuvres from Lacoste and MiSeRy+DeMoN to disturb the farming for the opposite team.[redquote2][/quote]
[quote][b]KuroKy's pre-game comments[/b]
[redquote1]MYM has the upper hand, their team is not only very ready for this but they mental state as the team right now is in top shape, while I'm not sure how well-practised the new OK.Nv lineup is, even though they do deliver some impressive results lately.
About the strategies used by both teams, MYM seems to have a very comfortable game while OK.Nv has to pressure and vastly outplay their opponent to succeed in this game, again, MYM has the mental advantage having spectre as their carry, arguably the best late-game carry you can have this version, so OK.Nv is stressed by the fact they will lose on time.[redquote2][/quote]
