WellPlay Invitational is ready to roll on starting tomorrow with a new edition and a bunch of CIS teams taking on European squads.
Team Empire, runners up at the previous WellPlay Invitational event, will fight again this month for the Championship title. They are joined by four other CIS representatives, namely Vega Squadron, Team Spirit, Effect and FRIENDS while Europe is represented by the likes of Cloud 9, Horde and ProDota Gaming.
Unlike the previous editions, the organizers chose this time around to go with a straight forward format, which didn’t include any qualifiers. All the eight participating teams received a direct invite and will battle in a double elimination bracket starting tomorrow, February 14.
The seventh edition has a prize pool of $3,000 split only between the winners and runners up as follows:
1st place: 2,500
2nd place: $500
The entire tournament will be broadcast on Hitbox on both English and Russian languages.
