ESEA launches anti-cheat designed for LAN events

ESEA has announced that they have designed an anti-cheat for LAN events in order to prevent any speculation of cheating.

ESEA has stated in their official announcement that the anti-cheat will be officially in use at IBP Masters 2016 for the first time this weekend, where four teams will qualify for IEM Oakland. IEM Oakland is going to be the first $250k+ prize pool event that will use ESEA's anti-cheat in addition to the regular protocols aiming to create cheat-free tournaments. ESEA claims the anti-cheat to be fully functional, having tested it at ESL One: New York last month.

ESEA declared that the anti-cheat may be used in any tournament that'd meet their basic requirements which haven't been revealed yet. They urge the organizers to contact them in order to use the technology in their events as the purpose of the anti-cheat defined as "to help ensure that Counter-Strike events, regardless of the organizer, can guarantee to be cheat-free".
