Na'Vi is back!

It has been written in ancient texts that one day Na'Vi would return. Today is that day.

The third game in the series matches up two massive teams; Natus Vincere and Tean Secret. Puppey’s old squad will be looking to make a comeback after having only poor performances lately, while the newly crowned Shanghai Major champions will be looking to continue on their fine form. This series should be interesting as it could be the stepping stone Na’Vi need to prove that they are back – but being up against Secret, it wouldn’t be an easy task.

Game one

Looking at the picks, Na’Vi seem to have a better line up, forcing Secret to pick a Venomancer for mid lane. With the early game being fairly even, Secret manage to claim first blood just before the four minute point. Na’Vi seemingly look like they’re in a more controlling position. However, Secret end up finding great pick offs, going into the ten minute area and the score stands at 4-3 to Secret. Na’Vi take the first Roshan of the game, and then move top to secure two kills with ease.

Twenty minutes in and the game is still fairly even, but Secret have more map control, dropping tier two towers top and bot. Both teams are now ready for the next Rosh fight. As the fight starts, Na’Vi look to be taking the fight, but the huge damage coming out of Venomancers ulti destroys Na’Vi and Secret claim the fight and the aegis. From this fight Secret push down the final tier two tower on the Dire side.

Closing in on the thirty minute point and Secret are looking like they’re in a great spot – pushing down the tier three mid, the rax and wiping Na’Vi – forcing out buybacks. Na’Vi take a massive fight mid but even with the fight going their way, the Nature’s Prophet and Drow Ranger from Secret push down the top tier three tower and take a second rax.

With another aegis going the way of Secret, and Na’Vi losing their final tier three tower bot, Na’Vi call GG - not the best start when attempting to prove that they are back.

Game two

The game starts of in a usual manner but with first blood only falling at five minutes and going the way of Na’Vi. But Secret turn things around, securing a kill at bot and top simultaneously. By ten minutes, once again, the game looks rather even, with the score sitting at 3-2 in Secret’s favour. Just before the fifteen minute mark, Na’Vi take a big teamfight in the mid lane under the Dire’s tier one tower, killing off three of Secret’s heroes and not taking any loses. Secret take the first aegis of the game but Na’Vi seem to have more control of the game, with a 10-7 score line in their favour as the twenty minute mark comes up.

Na’Vi claim the second Roshan and look ready to push highground, but Secret pull them back with the split push from Misery’s Beast Master. At the thirty four minute mark, Secret take down four of Na’Vi and siege down the tier three tower top – even with Na’Vi’s earlier pressure, Secret have much more control of the game. However, Secret end up losing a big fight and Na'Vi move toward the Rosh pit, wanting the third aegis and the cheese. With the aegis in hand, Na’Vi are ready to take control.

Fifty three minutes in and Na’Vi absolutely stomp Secret’s line up, with a Rampage for Enchantress – pushing through the Dire base and taking the series to a game three. Is Na’Vi back?

Game three

The deciding game in the third series of the day starts of in a great way, with Na’Vi grabbing both early bounty runes and the first blood before a minute is gone. Closing in on ten minutes and the game is fairly even, but Bounty Hunter definitely swings the early game in Na’Vi’s favour. A big team fight mid breaks out and even though it is a one for one trade, Secret come out with a tier one tower.

Na’Vi grab the first aegis and then manage to find a few kills in a fight in the Dire’s jungle. Soon after the twenty minute point, Na’Vi destroy Secret, picking up four kills and losing none. Na’Vi are now in complete control of the game and they push down another tier two tower. Thirty minutes and Na’Vi breach the highground, taking out the tier three mid tower. Soon after they return and take the mid rax.

The Dire team decide to sit back and get some farm, pushing out the lanes, awaiting the aegis and cheese from Rosh. Close to the forty minute point and Na’Vi start to siege the tier three bot lane. Off the back of this, Na’Vi obliterate Team Secret's line up and push knock down the Ancient, taking the series 2-1.
