Source two brought a lot of troubles for the tournaments that would have liked to have a third party compendium in the Dota 2 store. Since September last year, when Dota 2 was out of its Beta period and the Reborn client went live only one none Valve Compendium was released.
Today, Dota Pit League Season 4 brings us the second third party compendium at the modest price of $2,99. The Compendium can be purchased via the Dota 2 store - 25% of the proceeds of each Compendium sale contributes to the tournament prize pool, which started at 100,000 US dollars.
Until now the only way to contribute to the tournament prize pool was the Treasure Chest and thanks to the community support, Dota Pit League Season 4 has registered an 83.4 % increase in the prize money, meaning that the eight participating squads are already looking aa sum of $183,400 being up for grabs.
The two day LAN main event of Dota Pit League Season 4 is set to start one month from now on, on March 19 in Split, Croatia. The eight participating teams will be playing a double elimination bracket on Spaladium Arena to determine who will take home the first ever DotaPit trophy.
