The second day of the CIS Minor Championship has concluded, some left packing, some are to play one of the most important matches in their CS:GO careers tomorrow.

The second day of the MLG Columbus Regional qualifiers for CIS has concluded, deciding the future of teams that participated. Below you will find a brief recap of the second day of the event.

Match #1 - Winner: Russia Binary Dragons (16:14) - Best of one
Ukraine eXplosive vs. Russia Binary Dragons

A very close match between the two CIS representatives. The best of one was played on de_mirage, where both teams went even by the end of the first half. During the second, Binary Dragons managed to accumulate a surplus of rounds on the T side, ultimately overpowering their opponent 16:14.

Match #2 - Winner: Russia Quest (16:14) - Best of one
Russia Fluffy Gangsters vs. Russia Quest

Another round grind between these two Russian representatives on de_mirage. The first half saw Quest run away with a three round lead on the T side, giving them an advantage going into the second half of the map. Both teams demonstrated decent CS:GO, however in conclusion Quest cut off their countrymen with a 16:14 score.

Match #3 - Winner: Russia Method (16:11, 16:14) - Best of three
Russia Method vs. Russia Quest

A series of three maps cut short by the recently signed Method roster by showing dominance over their opponents. First map was de_train, where we saw Method demolish Quest in the first half on their CT side. Very effective side holds and trades lead to this surplus, giving the team a mental boost going into the second half. Method had some difficulties closing out the match, however they managed to land themselves the four rounds they needed to close out the first map. 16:11 to Method on de_train.
Next up was de_dust2, a map that was a very close call for the victors. Quest showed a stellar T side on the map, landing the team 10 rounds and a good morale boost going into the second half. Unfortunately for them, Method composed themselves mentally and played out of their mind, securing the much needed eleven rounds, closing out the second map and consequently the series.

Match #4 - Winner: Ukraine Rebels (16:11, 16:12) - Best of three
Ukraine Rebels vs. Russia Binary Dragons

A similar story to the previous match in terms of the amount of maps played, the clearly Ukrainians weren't here to play around. First around was de_cobblestone, where Rebels showed a very strong T side on the CT biased map by securing eight out of fifteen rounds in the first half. After this half the Ukrainians simply held bomb sites and played text book CS:GO, securing the first map of the series.
Second, and finally, was de_mirage. A similar situation to the previous map occured, where Rebels secured eight rounds in the first half on the CT side and polished the plate 8:5 in the second, taking away the best of three series and sending the Russian roster packing home.
