Frankfurt American qualifiers: Peruvian hope fading, DC advances

E.Wolves have been eliminated from the Frankfurt Major's American qualifiers by Digital Chaos. This leaves Unknown.Xiu as the only Peruvian team remaining the playoffs.

The American playoffs for the Frankfurt Majors are down to three teams after E.Wolves were knocked into the lower bracket by Unknown.Xiu and then eliminated by Digital Chaos after a close 2-1 series.

Winner bracket round one:

The winner bracket opened up with E.Wolves vs Unknown.Xiu, game one had E.Wolves absolutely crushing Unknown with their QOP, Doom and Windrunner giving Unknown's dual core no space; E.Wolves ended the game with a 18-1 kill score. Despite a crushing defeat in game one, Unknown was able to bring it back in game two by breaking even in the laning stage and ganking to create a lead in the mid game. In game three, Unknown ran an aggressive lineup built to crush E.Wolve's AM and won.

The other match of the winner bracket is Cloud9 vs Digital Chaos, Cloud9 defeated DC 2-1. DC ran a support Chaos Knight in game one but failed to use it effectively, after Cloud9 scored a few killls, DC were unable to control them and ended up surrendering. Cloud9 picked up an Alchemist and Antimage in game two, forcing DC to play a gank centric mid-game lineup, picking up a Bounty Hunter and Beast Master. DC executed their gank lineup well and took the second game. The final game was extremely close with no team having a clear advantage, however, a poor late game teamfight by DC led to Cloud9 forcing out the GG call from them.

Digital Chaos vs E.Wolves:

Game one witnessed a very map control centric lineup from DC, picking up an Exort Invoker, Spirit Breaker and Doom. E.Wolves's lineup broke down under the pressure put on by DC and allowed DC to easily take the game. Game two featured E.Wolves pressuring DC in the early and mid game to make space for their Alchemist; being able to shut down DC's Shadow Fiend with their Tusk, E.Wolves's Alchemist carried them to victory. E.Wolves were out-drafted in game three; their draft lacked an initiator. Taking note of the situation, DC secured their Shadow Fiend farm and started teamfighting, winning nearly every fight and taking the game with the advantage.
