The grudge match opener of SeatStory Cup between Trump and ek0p was fairly one-sided - in an unexpected way. Arena King Trump sends his nemesis ek0p down to the lower bracket without losing a single deck.
It was the feud that began before the third season of ESGN's Fight Night - and today a new chapter was added. The rivalry between Alpha Doge ek0p and the Mayor of Value Town Trump is well reported, as the German was quite vocal questioning the constructed prowess of Trump. The first outing at the studios in Berlin went ek0p's way with 3-1, now Trump struck back by obliterating his foe 4-0 in the opener of the SeatStory Cup.
Throughout the game Trump only had to use the power of Malfurion and a fairly standard mid-range deck to oust Murloc aggression, Shaman control, the mirror match and a beefy Warrior. Nothing could derail Trump today against ek0p, not even placement bugs in the first match, giving taunt to [card]Ancient of Lore[/card] instead of an [card]Ancient Watcher[/card]. After that moment of shock Trump just rolled over ek0p three times, getting the board early on and forcing his opponent into unfavorable trades the entire time. Especially against the Shaman this was visible with [card]Earth Shock[/card] used to silence a [card]Harvest Golem[/card] without the backup to clear it. His drawing mechanics didn't give him any answers and so the hard-hitting claws of the Druid were his demise.
The lack of answers carried through, as Trump got off to the more explosive start in the mirror matchup, claiming the board early - a theme that was also prevalent in the Warrior clash. The overall favorable matchup for the Druid was supported by a lot of aggression and great top decks, giving ek0p absolutely no room to respond in time.
The German will now go down to the Lower Bracket, waiting to play the loser of the clash of DogeHouse members Artosis and Gnimsh - with the winner trying to avenge the brutal loss of their team mate against Trump in the Winner Bracket.
