Dignitas benches KiWiKiD, will hold toplane tryouts

Today, Team Dignitas announced on their website that they would be moving Alan “KiWiKiD” Nguygen to the bench, making him a substitute player, and would officially begin tryouts for a new top laner.

After a strong season in the North American LCS, Team Dignitas (shown left) failed to qualify for the World Championships after falling to Team Vulcun 0-2 in a best of three, finishing the season in fourth place.

Looking to the next LCS split, it seems that Team Dignitas is attempting to strengthen their roster and perhaps revitalize the team with some new talent. The decision to look for a new top laner may come after KiWiKiD failed to perform in the NA LCS playoffs, as he finished with only a 1.44 KDA over the seven playoff games.

KiWiKiD will participate in the try-outs, but all players Diamond 1 or above are being called upon to test their mettle and fight for the spot. A contact email was included on the post, which can be found of Dignitas' website. This announcement, coupled with the recent news that Team Coast was searching for a second team and the expansion of the Curse teams, certainly shows that teams in the North American region are amping up in preparation for the season 4 LCS.
