The drawing of the Ro16 groups for WCS America - to be held October 14-17 - is done and the remaining players get ready to start filling the eight playoffs spot.
Continuing the tradition from the previous two seasons, the America's Ro32 witnessed the dominance of South Korea over the other regions. With Scarlett and HuK being the only North American exceptions and with SEn and MacSed the only survivors from Asia, the second group stage of the premier league sees 12 Koreans out of all 16 players. As a result, an all-Korean pool is formed in Group C with Group A and Group D also guaranteeing that there will be at leasat one Korean moving forward.
Group B is the only one where Koreans are foreigners are on equal footing. Scheduled for October 15th, 15:00 PDT, the group will put Scarlett against nesTea and Oz versus MacSed in two opening mirror matches.
After the completion of the group stage matches, there will be only a short break before the tournament returns for the playoffs. The quarter finals are scheduled for October 19th, the semi and grand finals following the next day.
