Made in Thailand wins Thai HoN Tour Grand Finals

Made in Thailand continues their dominance in the Thai region as the squad around Peter_Yedss clinched the highest honor of the region by winning the Thai HoN Tour Grand Finals against their old nemesis in Neolution eSports.MRR.

Made in Thailand.Sorry Sorry has done it, they captured the most prestigious title that the Thai scene in Heroes of Newerth has to offer. The DreamHack Summer 2013 participant is jumping on the Thai HoN throne with defeating Neolution eSports.MRR in the Grand Finals that were held in a giant IMAX theater with plenty of fans showing both teams love for a gripping and exciting series to conclude the successful HoN Tour season in Thailand.

The Finals started with a bang, as the favorites of s2y started off sloppy and Neolution eSports.MRR looked poised to end the losing streak against their old rivals on the biggest stage there is. Carried by swindleball and his Predator they cut through the lines of MiTH in the first match. The whole affair lasted for 33 minutes with all MiTH members having a hard time to get anything going, while swindleball racked up over 500 GPM and XPM plus excellent support by xSineZ on Empath.

Unfortunately for the MRR the roll didn't continue for them after overcoming the 0-1 deficit they received for coming out of the Loser Bracket. MiTH.s2y just turned on their force in the third match of the series and just tore their opponents apart in a beatdown of less than 25 minutes. Stat stars of the match were Esc` on Pandamonium who did a terrific job on his suicide lane and as an initiating force in the team fights, and once again Tianza on his beloved Sandwraith, who once again showcased the strength of that hero.

So it was 2-1 for S2Y at that point, with the first match point of the day to clinch the game, the series and the entire season of HON Tour. First it looked like Neolution eSports.MRR might have enough left in their tanks to push the series to the fifth and final map, as they were coming out of the gates storming with a snowballing Deadwood and a farming Draconis, while MiTH struggled to get anything going on all fronts. Still the gap between both teams was not insurmountable and MiTH hung in there with some key pick offs for Tianza on Pebbles and Mrsunz playing the Rally. Not only individual pick offs went more and more in favor of S2Y, but also the team fights got better and better with Torturer dealing massive AoE damage, Esc`'s War Beast getting equipped and Tianza and Mrsunz finding the perfect soft spots in MRR's lineup to make initiations work.

In the end MiTH rallied back from a 10,000 Gold and Experience deficit to overcome it and capture the title of Thai HoN Tour.  The joy and excitement of MiTH was visible on the stage, but also the aspect of sportsmanship took center-stage once again. Just like every team at DreamHack, both teams were hugging and congratulating each other - even with Peter_yedss lifting up one of his close friends over at MRR up in the air and celebrating with him.

The Thai scene has it's new rulers and will now take a bit of a break from the constant competition that the G-League provided for the last 5 months - but HoN Tour Season 2 is looming and will give all the pro teams of the country a reason to practice and scrim again.
