New system of kicking for too much damage

Recently in MM, there was a grief on our team. He would just block people, instantly try to die, jump in front of people, sit in mollies etc. I got kicked from the game because he sat in my molotovs, without ever dying. I killed 0 teammates, but still got kicked because he sat in too many of my molotovs. This seems like a broken system. I should not have gotten kicked because he sat in 2 of my molotovs.

Perhaps Valve could change the way players get kicked for grieving? There seems to be too much opportunity for innocent players to get kicked by accident.
