CS:GO Shuffles: Copenhagen Flames builds a new roster

S1mple may skip BLAST Premier Fall Groups, headtr1ck to play in his place.

August is coming to a close, and with that, the start of the second half of the CS:GO calendar. Teams are buttoning up their plans and dotting the i’s for new signings for their teams. Some teams are even creating new rosters from scratch to make sure that they are still competitive as we head to IEM Major Rio.

Copenhagen Flames

The organization has brought on former ECSTATIC in-game leader homas "birdfromsky" Due-Frederiksen to head the roster moving forward. He is joined by former Heroic/MAD Lions support Johannes "b0RUP" Borup, ex-Sprout member Rasmus "raalz" Steensborg, former Flames member Thomas "TMB" Bundsbaek as well as ex-Fnatic Rising AWPer Iulian "regali" Harjau.

In a statement, Steffen Thomsen, CEO, explains the thoughts behind the new roster:

“I’m extremely pleased with our Flames 3.0 line-up which holds a lot of potentials and is a continuation of our upward trajectory in the CS:GO scene. Our goal is to retain our players for even longer periods of time to take advantage of our new resources and setup, which in turn will solidify our status among the best CS:GO clubs and to achieve even more," Flames CEO Steffen Thomsen said. "Going forward our CS:GO division will add staff to areas like performance, data, health, science, and tech."

CPH has been without a roster since PGL Antwerp Major. The previous roster consists of Jakob "Jabbi" Nygaard, Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi, Fredrik "roeJ" Jorgensen, Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss.

Natus Vincere

There is a big chance that Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev may skip BLAST Premier Fall Groups. This is based on several social media posts made by the man himself.

On Instagram, he posted:

“Big announcement soon”

These posts are on the news that NAVI Junior player Daniil “headtr1ck” Valitov will be boot camping with the main team ahead of the upcoming tournament. He will be heading to the bootcamp location, and step in for s1mple if the latter is not available to play.

Headtr1ck has played for the main team previously – he played for NAVI at ESL Pro League Season 15 as a replacement for Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov.

NAVI will be playing in Group B at the BLAST Premier Fall Group, with Complexity Gaming, G2 and Team Liquid.
