https://twitter.com/NOREGcsgo This organization seems to be completly fake. Theyve faked actual streams with their team vs endpoint which Flamez has comfirmed they did not play.
Theyve apparently set up a Lan in Odense with a $200,000 prize pool in November
They also took Entropiq's logo (thanks u/Tuxxmuxx)
Heres the link for the 2-0 they won against Endpoint earlier today - https://twitter.com/NOREGcsgo/status/1317843713989791744
They also faked the game which you can view on their twitch channel - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/774207040 As far as i can tell endpoint havnt played a game on inferno with flamez with that scoreline so im not sure how they faked it, but apart from it looking laggy as hell, its pretty good.
Despite claiming theyve been a 'Professional esports team since 2017', they only started tweeting on October 7th - https://twitter.com/NOREGcsgo/status/1313842369339502592
Their twitter header is maybe the best part of all this feat. Bubzkji - https://twitter.com/NOREGcsgo/header_photo
Im not going to link their website but its unsecure so be careful if you do go on it.
Their next game is against Virtus Pro tomorow (20th Oct) at 16:00 cest in the 'NGaming Open Cup #1 - 2020'.
The players they have listed are GLOWIIBUBZ, UDKME, KKELINE, CHR1SVE, GOTHICLE and M1NFRIKZ
UDKME has a faceit profile with 3800 games and M1NFRIKZ seems to have some russian community servers linked to his name. The rest dont exist.
Aparently their CEO is Lucas Andersen also known as 'Bubzkji' from Astralis (Thankyou u/pepperon1cat)
They have a CSGO Manager - https://twitter.com/Kod1ya
This is getting abit odd now. Jkaem, Marcelious, AkEz, cromen and H4RR3 did used to play for a team called NOREG for a few months back in the beggining of 2018.
As i look into this further it looks like at 1 point they were an actual team. https://www.hltv.org/team/8473/noreg#tab-infoBox
Those players i listed above actually did play for them back in 2018 according to liquipedia
Theres also this - https://twitter.com/zEVEScs/status/980475773613150208 - Zeves who is e6tences coach used to play for them too.
More proof they were an actual team at some point - https://www.hltv.org/news/22603/ex-dignitas-trio-reunite-on-noreg
My conclusion is that they used to be a legit team but recently someone got hold of their twitter account and decided to create a fake org using a real old org which had disbanded.
@EsportsCharts on twitter (which is legit) is a stat collecting company. On their website they actually have the tournament linked and are waiting to get results from it - https://escharts.com/tournaments/csgo/ngaming-open-cup-1-2020 It was created 7 days ago and has 1 team in it. Noreg.
Heres a list on tournaments theyve claimed to be in. Of course theyre all fake, but sound legit - https://challonge.com/users/noreggaming/tournaments Theyve also made fake profiles on this site called 'Astralis Counter-Strike' to make it look even more legit, like theres actual teams involved.
Their player 'kkelineCS' has a fake twitter profile too - https://twitter.com/kkelineCS Also 'm1nfrikz' does - https://twitter.com/m1nfrikz Theres some russian twitter accounts linked to these profiles such as this one - https://twitter.com/bE9tluaAZH4OElD
This is the domain hosting company the use for their site - https://www.cubdomain.com/site/noregcsgo.com
Their facebook - https://www.facebook.com/noregcsgo/ Their insta - https://www.instagram.com/noregcsgo/
It's been confirmed by bubzkji that he 'has no idea what Noreg is' - https://twitter.com/Bubzkji/status/1318186431790055425?s=19
Big update : they've replied to Endpoint on twitter - https://twitter.com/NOREGcsgo/status/1318208995774156800?s=19 They seem to be continuing to pretend to be legitimate. They've asked Endpoint to give them endpoint players steam profiles to verify if they were actually playing or not lmao. Here's Endpoints response to them via DM - https://twitter.com/TeamEndpoint/status/1318214261311754240?s=19
Ive made a 2nd thread about the updates - https://old.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/je4ajm/fake_csgo_org_update/
My newest theory is money laundering. I'd like to know people's opinion on this please if you wouldn't mind commenting. You have a company that looks really legit. They've faked players, tournament organisers, who's to say they wouldn't set up fake bank accounts. They could be funneling money through the org in order to clean it. I'm not too experienced on this subject but if you know more, please DM me or comment down below
TDLR; Fake CSGO org based on a old Norwegian mix team from early 2018 with Jkaem in. Lots of wierd/funny things, not sure the point of it all. I'm starting to think it might be to do with money laundering or something like that.
Noreg have removed their twitter. Heres all their tweets - https://imgur.com/a/VxyPSNl
