The former Heroic roster has been officially signed by FunPlus Phoenix the organization has revealed. Based in China, the organization will be an official founding member of FLASHPOINT.
FunPlus Phoenix was founded in 2017 and currently fields teams in League of Legends, Fortnite, and PUBG. The organization swept G2 Esports in the 2019 World Championship Finals 3-0 to be crowned world champions of League of Legends.
Heroic most recently failed to qualify for the Europe Minor, falling to Heretics and Copenhagen Flames in the closed qualifier. This adds on to a strength of rather lackluster results for the squad which they’d be looking to turn around under the new banner of FunPlus Phoenix.
