Team EnVyUs is the first semi-finalist, following their 2-0 win over Fnatic in Group A.

The match was opened on de_cobblestone, which was a Team EnVyUs pick. The French team had an advantage of starting on the more favoured CT side. The map commenced with a nice pistol round from Team EnVyUs, where they excecuted a bait at the drop down and just slaughtered all Fnatic players. The next round, however, saw Team EnVyUs almost dropping a full buy round, as Fnatic showed envious skills with Tec-9s, but Dan "apEX" Madesclaire was there to stop it and restore the balance. Fnatic put themselves back on the scoreboard with the first full buy round, making it a 1-3 score. Unfortunately for them, they were quickly stopped as the French team continued their domination, pushing the score to 6-1. From this point on, Fnatic was slowly closing the gap to finish the first half with 8-7. The second half brought even better play from the French team, as they were the ones controling this map. In the end they just managed to play around with Fnatic's economy and to close this map out with 16-11.
The second map, de_inferno, was ofcourse Fnatic's pick. We saw Team EnVyUs continuing where they stopped in the first map. They won the third pistol round in a row and secured a necessary lead on the T side of this map. Once Fnatic managed to actually get a full buy, we saw both teams trading round for round and the match going into a tie, until the French team caved in and let the Swedes take a few rounds, finalising the first half at 9-6. The second pistol round was won once again by Team EnVyUs, to round it up for four out of four pistol rounds in this best-of-three series. The rest was just pure executions, as the French team has set a very strong defense to win this map with 16-6.
