The first map of the series was de_cobblestone. The Frenchmen started off the map on the T side and managed to secure the first pistol round. Team EnVyUs showed a fair T side, where they successfully landed entry frags and took over bomb sites, especially when they went for B site executes. Most teams prefer the T side of this map, meaning that the 10-5 score that we saw upon the conclusion of the first half meant that both teams were in a situation where the map could have gone either way.
Going into the second half Team Liquid managed to secure the pistol round, and started slowly building some rounds. The battle between the two teams was fierce; however only one team could emerge victorious. After a long map the score weighed over towards the Frenchmen, finalising at 16-14.
Second up was de_cache. Team EnVyUs started off the second map of the best of three series with their infamous dominant T side, winning the first pistol round and taking four subsequent rounds. The Frenchmen performed flawlessly, completely wiping out the North American representatives with a 13-2 score at the end of the first half.
The second half saw Team Liquid secure the second pistol round of the map. The team was clearly demoralised after a poor first half and did not manage to secure sufficient rounds to show proof of a potential comeback during second half. De_cache concluded with a 16-5 score in favour of Team EnVyUs.
