Team EnVyUs has taken first place at Gfinity's $100,000 Champion of Champions tournament after defeating Fnatic 3-2.
The win marks a significant milestone for the French roster, as this is the first time they have managed to defeat Fnatic in a multi-map series. EnVyUs looked like they were going to make quick work of the series early one, taking both of the first two maps, de_cobblestone and de_mirage 16:12 and 16:6. Fnatic returned with two map wins of their own, 16:12 on de_train and 16:13 on de_inferno. nV finally managed to take fnatic out, however, on de_cache with a 16:9 victory.
Team EnVyUs received $50,000 for their win, while fnatic earned $30,000 for their second place finish. The other two teams, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Virtus.Pro, were both given $10,000. Check out the bracket below for links to the match pages for in-depth scores and statistics:
