In the grand finals of CEVO Season 7 Virtus.pro defeated Natus Vincere 3-1 to claim $30,000 prize and the title.

The Season 7 LAN finals of the CEVO League were played during the last weekend in Columbus, United States. The eight teams were distributed into the two groups with four in each where they were fighting throughout the GSL format. The top two teams then moved on to the playoffs.
In the playoffs we saw first Na’Vi take on Mousesports. The Ukranian team took a very convincing 2-0 victory, winning both de_overpass and de_dust2, for the spot in the grand finals. In the second semi finals, Virtus.pro were better than the crawd favourites Cloud9. The Poles were first to take a lead, as they crushed their North American opponents 16-5 on de_train. However, Cloud9 struck back and took a 16-7 win on de_cache, and so this match was pushed into the third map. In the deciding map Virtus.pro didn’t want to leave any space for suprises, so after a very good first half, 14-1, VP closed this map 16-11 and got themselves into the grand finals.
The grand finals were played in a best-of-five format where de_overpass was the initial map. Same as in the group stage, but with even more easiness, VP scored a win on this map and had a quick 1-0 lead. This was followed with yet another win by Poles on de_cache for 2-0. Na’Vi had to win a map in order to keep themselves in this match, and that’s exactly what they did. The Ukranians finally found a weak spot in VP’s orders and they took de_cobblestone for 2-1. However, de_mirage was fatal for Na’Vi and after overtime Virtus.pro took this map for the final 3-1 in this series and a championship title.
