Gfinity to host a $100,000 event

Gfinity has announced that they will be hosting a $100,000 LAN tournament taking place on September 26-27 in the United Kingdom.

Gfinity has announced a new tournament called Champion of Champions which will feature all four winners of the previous Gfinity events. Virtus.pro, Fnatic, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team EnVyUs will have a chance to battle it out for the cut of $100,000.

The event will take place during EGX 2015 on September 26th-27th in Birmingham, United Kingdom. EGX is the biggest gaming festival in the United Kingdom and besides the Champion of Champions tournament, this venue will be the host of the finals of Gfinity’s UK Championship.

Moreover, Gfinity has also revealed that their next Summer Masters has been called off. The second edition of Gfinity’s Summer Masters was planned to take place on August 14-16. However, with the only few days left for the next CS:GO major, Gfinity decided to cancel this event and help teams to get more time to prepare for ESL One Cologne. Furthermore, they are offering a bootcamp place for the teams attending the major.

The first edition of Gfinity’s Summer Master was won by Team EnVyUs. In the grand finals, the French team took a very dominant 3-0 victory over their Swedish rivals, Ninjas in Pyjamas. You can find more information about this event at this link.
