stfN recieves ESL ban

The German player from UX Gaming, Stefan "stfN" Seier, has been handed ESL ban following an investigation by ESL.

The ban will most likely be a big blow to UX Gaming who were close to qualifying to the German EPS as they've finished runners-up to their countrymen mousesports in the third pre-season cup. The ban is set to expire in 2025 which would mean stfN has recieved a ten year ban.

ESL has not yet commented on the situation and it is still unknown wether the ban will affect the entire UX Gaming team during any ESL competitions. The UX Gaming organisation, however, were quick to react and release the following statement:

On Monday, we celebrated the good performances from our team in EPS, and then, next morning, we received this message. Personally, I am extremely disappointed. We knew from the start about the rumours and the history of every player on the team, but we also knew about their quality. Nevertheless, we still decided to take them under a contract. That is why it is more difficult to handle such an incident. The fact that we are now involved in an alleged fraud cause makes us sad and mad at the same time. We thus part ways with Stefan with immediate effect.- UX Gaming Competitive Gaming Operator Thomas "tomseN" Zwietasch said.
