3DMAX disbands

After a six year run, French Counter Strike organization 3DMAX have announced that they will be closing shop.

First founded in 2009, 3DMAX have been a prominent team in the Counter-Strike scene, but today their founder, Jean "SAM7" Moral, have announced that the organization will be shutting down. The news marks the end of an impressive six year run for the team, making their way into two CS:GO majors, four ESWCs, and bringing home a French Championship title along with a World championship title for their female roster.

Statement from 3DMAX Founder Jean "SAM7" Moral:

The 3DMAX story lasted for 5 years. We announce tonight the closure of the 3DMAX association from May 1st 2015. We're extremely proud of the work we've accomplished during all these years, the biggest players wether they belonged to the Counter-Strike series, Dota 2 or more recently HotS will have all worn the little devil's black & red tunic. With pride, we have worked closely with partners well known from the public who have supported us during all these amazing years. However, These 5 years brought their load of wrinkles, for some of us, our lives evolved, and our priorities changed. This is why we have decided to put an end to our activities before 3DMAX cannot garantee a decent, high level management for their players. I would like to personnaly thank our core sponsor: Winamax, without whom our adventure would have come to an end a long time ago, and the association staff who is without ambiguity one of the most professionnal and human the esport world can count on. Finally, I thank our extraordinary female line-up with whom we took a great pleasure working with and for bringing home the CS:GO World Cup trophy.
