Penta Sports have announced that they acquired a Planetkey Dynamics duo, Hendrik 'strux1' Goetzendorff and Johannes 'nex' Maget.

Penta Sports, one of the leading German teams ub the current CS:GO scene, have announced that they will be replacing Felix 'fel1x' Zech and Robin 'r0bs3n' Stephan with ex Planetkey Dynamics players Hendrik 'strux1' Goetzendorff and Johannes 'nex' Maget.

The news came as a real shock as the team had some very respectable results where they even managed to reach the quarter finals at DreamHack Winter 2014. However, the Penta's team captain Timo 'Spiidi' Richter said:

Hey guys,

just in time to end this year here is a statement from my side. The rumors which have been around for the last days become reality. While it will be a big surprise for most of you: We will change our line-up. r0bs3n und fel1x will leave the team, nex und strux1 will join.

Why? We played for about six months in this constellation and it has always been a lot of fun, the chemistry within the team has always been very good which is worth a lot. On the paper we are by now the most successful German team in history (due to the DreamHack Winter 2014). Unfortunately we played really inconsistent and whenever kRYSTAL had a bad day it didn’t look good for us. Further on we didn’t really have a shot caller anyways.

At this point I want to give special thanks to r0bs3n who put really a huge amount of work into the team and without him we wouldn’t be where we are now =). Never the less it hasn’t been enough in the end, obviously. I don’t want to disparage our achievements but we made it to a point where we couldn’t improve our play anymore. We are all really thankful to Felix and Robin for the awesome times we had. Since we secured the spot in the next CS:GO Major together we will of course share the received sticker money with our former team mates. That’s just fair.

Coming to our new players: Due to the illness of denis we had already had the chance to play with nex in the Acer A-Split tournament. Kevin (kRYSTAL) and I instantly noticed that he is the kind of player we need to improve the team’s performance. In my humble opinion he is currently the strongest German player and also has a great personality. With strux1 we have the wanted top caller in our rows who also fits perfectly into the team personality wise. We are highly motivated for the upcoming year 2015 and hope to get the outstanding team that the German CS:GO scene deserves! Finally I will take the position of the new team captain and am wishing you all a Happy New Year!

Penta Sports is among the top eight teams of the last major which means that they will receive an auto-invite for the next major. Due to this roster change, Penta will still keep the three out of five players who have earned that spot so they will be eligible for that spot.

Penta Sports line-up:
Germany Timo "Spiidi" Richter
Germany Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend
Germany Denis "denis" Howell
Germany Johannes "nex" Maget
Germany Hendrik "strux1" Goetzendorff
