New terms and conditions

These are the new Terms and Conditions for the StarcraftGamers website, affecting every registered member at the site. Please, take a few minutes and read through everything, and the result will hopefully be a better behavior among the members in general at the site. They will soon be posted at Site > Terms and conditions, for anyone to read at anytime.

§1 Personal harassments, swearing, insults and racism are prohibited
Please do not insult another site member, forum member or guest based on their religion, race, sex or culture. Try not to be vulgar or rude. It is strictly forbidden to use excessive profanity. If you must swear you are allowed to, but keep it a minimum. Instead of swearing use symbols like "&%*$#!@^!". If you disagree do so by constructive criticism. You have the right to express your opinion, but do not offend the other user(s) while doing that.

Freedom of speech is very important to us but we also believe that your rights end when they affect another negatively. Racial slurs, personal harassments, excessive swearing and insults in general are censored on this website and forums. We will do our best to remove them but remember that StracraftGamers is not responsible for the content of the users' posts. Please note that this is an international site so racial and culture based insults will not be tolerated.

§2 Pornography, warez or illegal content and/or transactions are prohibited.
No pornography, warez or illegal content and/or transactions are permitted at this website or forums. Censorship and banning will be the usual response to this. You cannot transmit any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable content. Any topic that condones, exploits, or makes use of illegal material is illegal here as well.

§3 Head-to-head material is not allowed
If you have a problem, PM one of the moderators. Do not use the forums to post your grievances with forum related problems. If you make a mistake in your post, press the 'edit' button and fix it. Posts asking why posts were deleted, locked, why accounts were closed, or why users are/were banned will be deleted. Always use a PM for these questions. The forums should not be used for sending personal messages to other users. Please find some other method to do this such as the site?s PM system, email, instant messengers, IRC, and so on.

§4 Repeating the same post (spamming) or posting without content is not allowed
No spamming or cross posting. Spamming (repeating) the same post to multiple forums may result in two consecutive warnings and then a ban. Your access to the forums may be revoked for posting frequent, repeated and/or annoying messages in the forums. Post your posts and thread in the appropriate/correct forum. Whether an initial thread or a reply make a post content that will add value to the post or forums. Anyone who posts just to increase their forum stats or post topics of one or a few words that add little, risk having their post or reply deleted. Publication of messages with no content, such as "agree", "me too", "sux", "rulez" and so forth may be deleted at the discretion of the moderators.

§5 Do not post copyrighted materials
You are only allowed to post materials for which you own the copyright. If you for some reason are pasting information of which you are not author and/or owner, you must make this very clear. Use the quote function and also always include the source of the material you've quoted and/or pasted. Laws of Sweden will be deleted. Individual authors of messages are solely responsible for their content. Do not publish other people's personal information (including email addresses) without permission from them or make slanderous statements, or anything else that might violate someone's privacy. Whole and/or bigger parts of copyrighted materials pasted without the source and/or the acceptance of the author is regarded strictly prohibited and will always result in a warning. We will cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies in the event of an action.

§6 Commercial advertising without permission is not allowed
Web Page Advertisements, Clan Advertisements, Petitions are tolerated if they are Broodwar related, you make them interesting and you add value to the content of the forums or posts. A simple link and a one sentence message will usually result in deletion. Commercial advertising without permission will be deleted. Contact the Administrative staff and not moderators for commercial advertising requests.

§7 Posts based on another language than English are not allowed
English is the "official" language of the website and forums. You're not allowed to base an entire post on another language but you may post short sentences or remarks on other languages if it serves a purpose but you must provide a translation or clarification of the remark.

§8 More than one account per user is not allowed
Only one account per user is permitted. Any impersonation of a user from these posts or forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and will result in a banning. Note that all IPs are logged and such activity can lead to an IP ban.

§9 Do not ask for help with your technical problems
Since neither the users of StarcraftGamers, nor the Crew in general are technical specialists, we can't help you better than the programs/services own staffs. Almost every program and/or service has their own technical forum where you can ask the specialists for help. For example, the Battle.net service has its own technical forum at http://www.battle.net, where we redirect all questions regarding Battle.net problems and issues. Posts including technical problems without a detailed, full error log will be deleted.
