sGPL: New Groups

The GosuGamers Power League has reached an end in the first group stage. Three weeks have gone since the league started. 16 players turned into 12 due to some drop outs, and this number has now been reduced to 8 since the second group stage will begin this week.

What happened to the VeG vs iD.anon game? VeG was the one who wild carded the match and should therefore be responsible for an agreement on a secondary date to play it. This was not done as the week was over, so the win went to anon in a walk over. This means that VeG (0-2) is out of the league and anon (1-1) ended up as a runner up in Group D, right behind Fisheye.

Mondragon vs HellGhost was not played either, since both players had already advanced from the group and HellGhost didn't have the time for it the last weekend. Therefore, Mondragon got the win by a walk over.

However, as the second group stage begins, there will be played 4 matches every week. The players who didn't care showing up at the regular dates (about 50%) are now out, and only the motivated and the best are remaining in the league. We are really looking forward to the results of this stage, since it is now the show begins for real.
