Arenas and rated battlegrounds return

After the usual post-expansion down time, organised PvP returns to World of Warcraft.

Expansion time has always been one of mixed blessings for competitive PvP fiends. The new content, gear and skills are all welcome, but having a lengthy "off season" is not. This time, though, Blizzard is getting organised PvP back on track very quickly - just a week after release, in fact. In America, all MMR, individual and team ratings have already been reset. In Europe the season begins after tonight's schedule server maintenance.
