Curse hosts US regionals

With the European regionals done with this past weekend, it's America's time to show its skill in the arena.

This past weekend at GamesCom we saw WoW veteran Another lead his team to victory in the European Regionals. This coming weekend (August 24-26), the eight best teams in North America will head to San Francisco for their own shot at glory. With $30,000 in prizes, there is more on the line than fame and glory, and lets not forget the world finals in China later this year.

The whole tournament will be streamed via Curse's own3d TV channel, but more specifics are currently sparse. At time of writing, Arena Junkies site doesn't even have a team list, though the lack of Azael on the commentator list has some people speculating about his return to competitive play.

One thing is for sure though: the tournament will be much more visible. While the European qualifier was tacked-on to the end of IEM, with only the last couple of games broadcast, the American one will be live for three days. The round robin format allows for every single game to be streamed live.
