Raid Call keeps WoW esports alive

Beginning on August 10, EG and Raid Call will host a 3v3 arena tournament for World of Warcraft.

Although regular, top level arena play appears to be a thing of the past, Intel Extreme masters champion Azael will be commentating on an eight-team WoW tournament this upcoming weekend. With $2,000 USD for the top three finishers, this is the biggest WoW tournament since both MLG and ESL dropped the game from their events.

The eight teams will be divided up into two groups of four, with the top two in each group qualifying for a double bracket system. The eventual winners will pocket a cool $1,200 to share. The whole thing will be broadcast by One More Game's Twitch TV channel. Hosts, Evil Geniuses are definitely among the favourites, with some of the best known and most established players left in the scene
