World Elite parts ways with Infi after failed contract negotiations.
After recently enlisting TeD and Una, World Elite failed in their bid to resign their human superstar: Xuwen 'Infi' Wang. Infi joined World Elite in March of 2006 as part of the "talent team." Now as one of the world's top human players, he will depart for Team Panda as a veritable superstar. Infi, the winner of numerous high profile tournaments, has signed a two-year, 250,000 RMB contract (~$37,667.50) with Team Panda. In a statement to the press, Infi stated that World Elite would always be 'home,' and that no words could express his feelings of gratitude.
Infi will join a two-man team captained by TH000. Panda management stated that Infi's departure was strictly business and was unrelated to internal team strife at World Elite. They further stated that the Infi was an ideal match for TH000 due in part to their good working relationship.
Will World Elite be able to cope with this 'Infi'-nite void? Only time will tell.
