Orc stalwart Eom Hyo "FoCuS" Sub defeated Jong Seok "Reprisal" Lee in the 222nd edition of ZOTAC Cup after a 3-2 victory on the Saturday evening.

FoCuS has now won the ZOTAC Cup 35 times which has given him €3,500 EUR in prize money alone from the long-running online cup.

Noteworthy how "Mr. ZOTAC" himself, ReMinD - holding 51 titles - lost in the fifth round to Reprisal (0-1) just before the playoff rounds.

It was confirmed on Battle.net that Blizzard will not host their annual convention in 2012. Instead, the company's attention will be focused on their upcoming titles and the next edition of the Battle.net World Invitational.

In October 2011, Anaheim hosted the Battle.net World Invitational that brought together some of the best StarCraft 2 players and World of WarCraft 3v3 arena teams. This year, the show is moving out of the United States and will travel to Asia.

The announcement of the Bnet World Invitational comes with the news that there will be no BlizzCon held this year. The annual convention will not return until 2013 because of Blizzard's busy schedule, that includes three titles currently under development.

Slated to take place in Asia toward the end of 2012, the Battle.net World Championship will host this year’s StarCraft II and World of...

Xiang "TH000" Huang was the highest earning player in 2011 with €34,175 in tournament winnings. This according to statistics from the pillar Chinese WarCraft 3 site Tatazu.com.

Doubters of WarCraft 3's continued popularity can feast their eyes on China and Korea, where tournament organizations handed out a total of more than €145,000 EUR in 2011.

The top three earners were the Chinese trio of TH000, Infi, and Fly100%, respectively. The aforementioned TH000 cashed in the most after winning the G-League, two Esports Champion League titles, and many other competitions.

Coming in at fourth, fifth, and sixth we find the Korean trio of Lyn, Moon, and ReMinD. While Lyn and ReMinD will continue to play in the land of Azeroth, Moon's last year of WarCraft 3 ended with €10,459 EUR in the bank from his IEF grand final victory back in October.

A new team has arisen on the WarCraft 3 world. FPS-originated organization CPLAY has picked up the Korean-heavy roster of All For One with the bright shining stars LawLiet and FoCuS.

The management discussed the new venture into WarCraft 3, but came to the conclusion that the gaming scene is still alive and active in international context and that there are stars who still roam the land of Azeroth and not the Korprulu sector of StarCraft 2.

- "Contrary to what many think, the actual Warcraft 3 scene is very active. Many leagues & cups were organized, yes with less earnings than before, but the important thing is that the scene continues to exist and is still participating in eSport," says the team manager Michel 'DarkOnN' Birmanos in an interview on the team's website.

Racel Seltzer from CyberSportsNetwork had the chance to interview the World Cyber Games 2011 champion June "Lyn" Park.
- "I wasn't expecting to win, therefor I am very honored."

Lyn reveals that in the next WCG, he feels like he will be playing WarCraft 3 again - should the game be included as a disciple for the 2012 event.

He tells the interviewer that he stopped practicing StarCraft 2 two months prior to World Cyber Games to fully focus on WarCraft.

- "According to the rules, I can't participate in both grand finals events. Since I am originally a WarCraft 3 player, I decided to play Warcraft 3 immediately when the WCG information was publically announced."

Setlzer also asked about whether his skills in WarCraft 3 were so advanced that he did not need to practice. But that he laughed at and said that unfortunately that...

The homefield greenskin could finish off the two-time World Cyber Games gold medalist Sky in a best-of-three grand final in Busan. Despite a sloppy performance on Ancient Isles, the match series ended in Lyn's favour after claiming Twisted Meadows and Echo Isles as his.

China still had reason to cheer, as Fly100% took the bronze after defeating Russia's HawK in the match for third.

On November 22, the two Team PokerStars pros will do battle for five three minute rounds. The kickboxing match has some rules, such as making kicks to the groin, headbutts, and elbows illegal, while fighters are still permitted to do spinning kicks and punches. The most important stipulation of the match is that a winner will only be declared if a participant is knocked out or quits, otherwise the match will end in a draw.
