Okay, I started The Name of the Wind, I am around page 200 and it is the best stuff I've read since a long time. Wow, this is awesome, can't believe.

Thanks 100 times for the recommendation!

You're welcome! And it just gets better. I couldn't put those books down when I read them the first time. I read the second one in two days and it's 1000+ pages long! x)

Fans of Kvothe and Elodin are sure to love Locke Lamorra and Tehol Beddict as well. Check out Midnight Tides and The Gentleman Bastard Sequence.

I am surprised that no-one has mentioned Steven Erickson's Malazan Book of the Fallen. Midnight tides is book 5 of this 10 part series. Definitely the best work of fiction out there.

I've read every book out there in the fantasy genre (well most of them atleast!) and hands down, Malazan book of the fallen is the best one out there.

The huge amount of depth in the characters is amazing. I just love the fact that there is no good vs evil in the series aswell, just a matter of perspective. Best fantasy series out there
