ORC vs NE Naga vs mass driads (2962 reads, 11 replies, 1 year ago)
I play with my friend. I play orc and he plays ne. He always goes DH solo and harras me from beginning. He has his base closed against me, I cant harras wisps. After then he goes huntress instantly and pushes me. I go grunts and tech to tier 2. He builds two AOL and there is the problem, I cant recognize if he'll go only driads or he'll go for bears. So when I pick NS, he makes only driads so NS seems useless. So what should I do after that? Thank you for an advice.

Ok, first of all, don't think that the orcs must absolutely always harass the opponent's workers, it's in most ways better to reach level 3 when your blademaster becomes really deadly. Second, the orcs get NS in 2 AND ONLY 2 situations - when you're being pushed to death, or when you are going to push to death. When you see 2 Lores, your second hero choice should be Shadow hunter so that you can heal your army and hex the enemy heroes if you spot a chance to kill them. The night elves cannot play only with dryads against you, but if they do so - raiders from 2 beastiaries will solve. Anyway, the elves need bears to win, so he will most probably go for bears, then you counter them with a standard army but here you must remember one very important thing - you MUST have kodos. Don't stay on 50 pop for too long, you can't beat 70 pop bears with a 50 pop army unless you are much much much better than him. Expansion is not always needed, all you need is to go above the 50 pop and get more spirit walkers and kodos, 2-3 raiders are enough vs bears, 4 grunts too. Your second hero should ALWAYS be Shadow hunter.

Its kind from you, so I would have one more question. I have most trouble with DH he always uses mana burn on my shadow hunter, so i cant use chain healing wave. If I try hex him and kill with BL he unspells the hex by driads. His DH gets lot of experience because he makes him solo and he uses potion of immortality and potion of health and when it seems I can kill him finally he TPs to base. The moust trouble causes the mana burn to me. Is something good against it?

Not much, one of the things you can do is position your hero behind your army so that it will be hard for him to reach and burn the SH. You can also buy a mana potion from your shop, these are the solutions. In order to kill him you need to time your actions which you will learn to do in time. You don't need to focus his hero every time, when you see him having an invulnerability potion and a town portal and you know that he's gonna dispel the hex, just kill his army instead. A solo DH can't do almost anything versus an orc army :).

Yeah, it could work. I have to find a way, how to prevent DH to get close to my SH. Anyway, Im grateful for your advices and looking forward to try it.

For example i always do ensnare if i dont need it instant for ensnaring dryads. So you can stop the dh and move your sh in the other direction. Is also usefull to prevent the dh from making damage for a view seconds. But as inhuman already said, better rape dryads.. and try to ignore the dh. DH solo can't be a succesful solution.

#7 I did this tactic too, but an ensnare lasts only for 2 second on a hero, so I mostly wanted to use on an others units but it can be good, when one has more raiders. Potion invulnerablity can be useful maybe.

Look, in general, it is impossible to play versus Night Elf and don't get your mana burned, so don't put too much effort on preventing him to do so, a good position of your heroes is quite enough. Your main concern should be to win the battle, and by just saving your heroes' mana you are not guaranteed a success.

9 you are right. I should do so. If would be there any counter mana burn (except hero position) progamers would find it out long since.

Well Let's do a little summary for this thread...

First - Naga vs dryads? :O take SH and seaze them all! :D
Second - Dryads... make raiders ,ensnare them all ,focus fire them,u can have urself troll headhunters and demolishers as ur escorts as well, mass dryad isn't that good vs a decent so i guess that it would get arranged with that.

EDIT: And for the mana burn thing... you can prevent the mana burn for a little time or for a whole fight actually.

if the enemy DH gets into ur army ,take 4-5 peons,2 raiders and 4 grunts, ensnare him, surround him and take ur heroes away from so he cant mana burn u because he got surrounded. and fight the damn dryads :D

Hodně štěstí člověk :-) (took me 5+ min to write this sentence )
